About the Board of Education Student Internship Program

The BOE internship program is designed to provide an enhanced educational experience and encourage students to develop leadership skills by serving the community. Interns will learn first-hand, how the board and superintendent collaborate with parents, teachers, staff, and local government to accomplish goals focused on the success of every CCS student.Internships are open to Cabarrus County School District rising high school juniors and seniors.  Student interns will attend BOE business and work session meetings, interact with members of the board, tour facilities, and are encouraged to participate in an intern-led service project of their choice.

Students interested in serving as a Board Intern for the 2024-25 academic school year must complete the 2024-2025 CCS Board of Education Student Intern Application.

According to Policy 2315/3635, applicants must also submit a Letter of Interest and Letters of Recommendation from his/her principal and at least two teachers along with the application. The deadline to apply is April 22, 2024. Please direct questions about the application process to school board member, Pamela Escobar.
