Cabarrus County Schools welcomes our new Board of Education (BOE) student interns. Nineteen students from Early College, Northwest Cabarrus, Hickory Ridge, and Cox Mill high schools were accepted for the 2023-2024 school year. Cabarrus County school board member Pam Escobar welcomed this year's board student interns for orientation at the Cabarrus County Schools Education Center on August 14, 2023.
The Board of Education Internship Program is open to Cabarrus County School District high school juniors and seniors. Student interns will attend BOE business and work session meetings, interact with members of the board, tour facilities and are encouraged to participate in an intern-led service project of their choice.
The BOE internship program is designed to provide an enhanced educational experience and encourages students to develop leadership skills by serving the community. Interns will learn first-hand, how the board and superintendent collaborate with parents, teachers, staff, and local government to accomplish goals focused on the success of every CCS student.
The new Board of Education student interns will be officially presented at the September 18th Board of Education Business Meeting.
