Kindergarten Program Choice Information
Program Choice provides Cabarrus County Schools’ families an opportunity to choose an instructional style or theme that best fits the needs of their child. Parents may apply for a program of interest while still maintaining enrollment in our local public school system.
School assignment is determined by the student's address.
Program Choice applications for kindergarten students were open from October 15 thru December 14, 2025.
Applications will reopen for additional kindergarten applicants beginning March 1st and close on March 31st, 2026. Applications will not be accepted after March 31st, 2026.

All applications can be completed on the CCS Choice and Enrollment website.
Kindergarten students who qualify for Early Entry are not eligible to participate in any program choice options for their kindergarten year. The only exception is the Dual Language Inclusion Programs in Spanish or Mandarin.
