Lead Psychologist

Welcome to the 2026-2027 school year! I'm happy to be returning to Carl A. Furr Elementary this year! I graduated from Appalachian State with my undergraduate degree in Psychology, with minors in Sociology and English. I then attended Winthrop University for my Masters and Specialist degrees in School Psychology! I also completed a Masters in Cognitive and Neuropsychology from the University of Kent in Canterbury, England. While the role of a school psychologist is extremely diverse, my favorite areas include assessments, data analysis, and MTSS. Additionally, I enjoy learning about and evaluating for Autism Spectrum Disorder, Dyslexia, and Traumatic Brain Injury. In my free time, I like to play with my dogs, Fitzgerald & Daisy, spend time with my husband, read, and travel!
