My name is Mikayla Harrell, and I am a first-year school psychologist! This is my second year in Cabarrus County Schools as I completed my graduate internship here during the 2025-2026 school year. I attended East Carolina University for my undergraduate degree and NC State University for my master's program in School Psychology. I have a special professional interest in Autism Spectrum Disorder and the assessment of multilingual learners. The best parts of my job are building meaningful relationships with students, families, and school staff, advocating for students, and helping ensure that students have the support and resources they need to thrive. In my free time, I enjoy traveling, cooking, playing board/card games and reading!
