Melinda "Mindy" Curtis
School Psychology Student
With a passion for supporting students with diverse needs, I began my professional journey as a special education teacher in a separate setting classroom. After stepping away from the classroom to focus on raising my four children, I later served for five years as the Director of Youth and Children at Mt. Pleasant UMC in Sherrills Ford, NC. My path then led me back to public education, where I provided resource-level special education services and later served for five years as an Educational Diagnostician with Union County Public Schools. A few years ago, I returned to graduate school to pursue a long held dream of becoming a school psychologist. I am currently completing my internship at Hickory Ridge Elementary School and Hickory Ridge High School.
