Personnel announcement
Superintendent Dr. John Kopicki has announced the following personnel appointments, which were approved by our Board of Education on Monday, December 8, 2025.
Dr. Meghan Frazier, assistant principal for instruction at J.M. Robinson High School, has been named principal of Cox Mill High School, replacing Chris Myers who has resigned. She will begin her new role on January 2, 2026.
Meghan has been a member of Cabarrus County Schools since 2003 and brings experience across elementary, middle, and high school levels. She previously served as assistant principal at Hickory Ridge Middle School, C.C. Griffin Middle School, Mt. Pleasant High School, and Pitts School Road Elementary School. Her career also includes roles as a charter school administrator, new teacher support coach at UNC Charlotte, MTSS Coach, and high school English teacher.
Meghan holds a Doctorate of Education and a Master of School Administration from UNC Charlotte, as well as a bachelor's degree from California State University at Long Beach.
Maghan Kirschner, Lead New Teacher Support Coach at UNC Charlotte, has been named assistant principal at C.C. Griffin STEM Middle School, replacing Arlana Graham, who was promoted to principal at C.C. Griffin at the beginning of this school year. Maghan will begin her new role on January 2, 2026.
Maghan has served at UNC Charlotte since 2018, supporting new teachers across the region. Prior to her current role, she was an assistant principal for instruction at KIPP Academy, a professional development facilitator at Whitewater Middle School, a resident principal at Walter G. Byers Academy, and a classroom teacher in several Charlotte-Mecklenburg middle schools.
She earned her bachelor’s degree from Michigan State University, a master’s degree in Curriculum and Instructional Supervision from UNC Charlotte, and her principal licensure through the North Carolina New Leaders Resident Principal Program.
Congratulations to Meghan on her new role within the district and welcome Maghan to Cabarrus County Schools.
