IMPORTANT: Weather-related schedule updates

Dear Cabarrus County Schools families,
Thank you for your continued flexibility, patience, and support as we’ve navigated recent winter weather. We know these adjustments impact family schedules, and we truly appreciate the partnership of our parents and caregivers as we work to keep students and staff safe.
Cabarrus County Schools will operate on a regular schedule tomorrow, Friday, January 30th.
However, as we closely monitor the forecast for an approaching winter storm, we are making the following proactive schedule adjustments to help everyone plan ahead:

However, as we closely monitor the forecast for an approaching winter storm, we are making the following proactive schedule adjustments to help everyone plan ahead:
📌 Schedule Updates
- All extra-curricular and afterschool activities are canceled for Friday, January 30.
- All CCS facilities are closed and weekend community-use activities are canceled for Friday evening, January 30; Saturday, January 31; and Sunday, February 1.
- To maximize instructional time, the early dismissal day previously scheduled for Wednesday, February 4, for traditional calendar students will now be a full day of school for students and staff. There will not be an early dismissal on Feb. 4th.
We will continue to monitor conditions closely and will communicate any additional updates as needed through ParentSquare, our website, and social media.
