Instructional Technology Facilitators (ITF) are key players in ensuring our students are prepared for a digital world.

Technology with Intention. Learning with Impact.

During the 2026–2027 school year, Cabarrus County Schools Instructional Technology Facilitators will support schools in shifting the focus from the quantity of technology use to the quality of learning experiences created through technology integration.  The work of the ITFs aligns with the district's commitment to “Your Future, Our Focus” by empowering educators and students with the tools and learning experiences needed to thrive in an ever-changing future.

Grounded in the CCS Core Tenets of Teaching and Learning, ITFs will partner with teachers, school leaders, and instructional teams to design meaningful, standards-aligned learning experiences where technology enhances engagement, supports collaboration, deepens thinking, and promotes student independence.

Through coaching cycles, professional learning, modeling, and collaborative planning, ITFs will help educators:

  • Align technology integration to instructional goals and learning targets
  • Increase active student engagement
  • Design learning experiences that promote productive struggle and deeper thinking
  • Encourage creation, collaboration, reflection, and problem-solving
  • Use technology intentionally to strengthen classroom community and student ownership of learning
