Information for Newly Hired Employees

Welcome To Cabarrus County Schools!

Please scroll down on this page to review ALL required sessions you must register to attend as a new full-time employee.  

All new certified school staff, please sign up for New Teacher Orientation which will be held at Hickory Ridge High school on July 29th, 30th and 31st from 8:00am-4:00pm.

If you are a 1st – 3rd year employee in the following areas, you are required to attend all days, July 29th, 30th and 31st.

  • Teacher
  • Counselor
  • Social worker
  • Speech language pathologist
  • Psychologist

If you have 4 or more years of experience in a public school system as one of the following, you are required to attend only July 31st. 

  • Teacher
  • Counselor
  • Social worker
  • Speech language pathologist
  • Psychologist

All other new employees are not required to attend orientation held on the dates listed above.

 REQUIRED – New Employee Benefits Session  Registration

ALL  New Employees  are required to attend a MANDATORY virtual New Employee Benefits Session.  Each session will be facilitated by our Benefits/Retirement Administrators. 

Click on the date you wish to attend to complete the registration form.

 SAFESCHOOL REQUIREMENTS

All new employees are required to complete training in SafeSchools.  In order to login to SafeSchools, you will need to utilize your timekeeper number which will be provided by the Treasurer at your school. These trainings include, but are not limited to, Drug-Free Workplace, Legal Briefing, Finance Guidelines, and Technology Guidelines.
