Building Administrator Selection Process
Assistant Principal
- HR will post all vacant positions.
- Applicants will complete an online application through Applitrack, and upload all supporting documents (transcripts, license and last evaluation). Applicants will also provide the email addresses of three professional references.
- Leveled directors will screen AP applicants with principals for vacant AP positions.
- Interviews will take place at the building level with principal, director, and teacher team selected by principal.
- Recommendations will be made to HR.
- Superintendent and HR will meet with the recommended applicant prior to any official offer being extended and BOE approval.
Principal
- HR will post all vacant positions.
- Applicants will complete an online application through Applitrack, and upload all supporting documents (transcripts, license and last evaluation). Applicants will also provide the email addresses of three professional references.
- Applicants screened.
- HR, leveled director, and select school based staff conduct initial round of interviews.
- Select applicants invited to second round with Cabinet Level Evaluators.
- Select applicants invited to final round with Superintendent.
- Official offers of employment extended by HR condition upon Board of Education approval.
