I have a demonstrated history of working in primary and secondary education as well as being skilled with nonprofit organizations, community outreach, and healthcare. I have been working with youth and managing behaviors for 17 years in Cabarrus County Schools. Prior to joining Cabarrus County, I worked with youth in two other states and in Europe. My skills in differentiated instruction, strategizing, crisis intervention, and communication allows me the opportunity to team with other valued members of the county to offer the best services to meet the needs of our students. My belief is that every day working with students provides a new challenge and an added opportunity to impact the life of a child.
One of my favorite comments from a student is "Ms. Scott is like gum on your shoe, you can never shake her off." To this day, I still laugh at that statement. Not because I take offense to it, but because I take pride in it. I want all students to know that as long as I'm needed I will always stick around and give my best.
