Vikings Are State Champions

Congratulations to Central Cabarrus High School for winning the 3A men’s basketball state championship last weekend at Reynolds Coliseum on the campus of North Carolina State University.

The Vikings 65-51 win over Pittsboro Northwood secured the school’s second men’s state championship and first since 2000.

Cabarrus County Schools has won five men’s state championships since 2016.  J.M Robinson claimed the 3A title in 2016 and the 2A title in 2022. Cox Mill won 3A championships in 2017 and 2018.
