CTSO Student Leadership Summit

The Central Cabarrus CTE Program hosted its 4th Career and Technical Student Organization (CTSO) Student Leadership Summit on Friday, October 12021, at UNC Charlotte Dubois Center in Uptown Charlotte.  The theme for this year’s summit was “Exploring Peer Student Leadership, Community Engagement and Civic Responsibility for our Career and Technical Student Organizations”.

Central Cabarrus High School CTE Coordinator Brian Elliott said, “The purpose of this summit was to allow student leaders build soft skills and participate in networking opportunities necessary for them to compete in the evolving 21st Century Workforce”.

Central Cabarrus CTSO Student Delegates participated in five interactive sessions such as group team dynamics & communications, CTSO project planning, time management, and College 101 ending in an awards ceremony with Keynote Speaker Solomon McAuley, NextGen Specialist for Centralina Workforce Development Board.
