JMRHS Cadets Hold 9-11 Ceremony

AF JROTC Cadets from Jay M. Robinson High School held a 9/11 20th Anniversary Ceremony and Flag Vigil.

A flag detail formed of three cadets kept the US, Air Force, and JROTC flags in constant motion during the entire ceremony. The detail consisted of cadet and faculty volunteers in 30-minute increments. Cadets ran in formation behind the flags, others walked, all maintained complete silence. Names of Air Force members who lost their lives in support of Operation Enduring Freedom and Operation Iraqi Freedom were read throughout the day. The significant events that happened during the attacks on 9/11 were announced at the exact time they occurred and a wreath was placed at the base of the flag pole. The wreath will be displayed during the home football game as well.

Additionally, cadets raised money through donations and a GoFundMe account. Proceeds will be donated to the 9/11 Memorial Fund.
