Two Cabarrus County Schools students have earned Good Deed Award from the National American Legion Auxiliary Headquarters and the Harrisburg American Legion Auxiliary Unit 523. Congratulations are in order for Bayla Jordan from Hickory Ridge High School and Addison Perkins from JN Fries Magnet Middle School.

Bayla Jordan was awarded the Good Deeds awards for her successful efforts to create greeting cards together with her friends that included gift cards from businesses and restaurants for 50 veterans during Christmas.

Addison Perkins was awarded the Good Deeds awards for her successful efforts to collect items for deployed members of the five military branches instead of presents for her 11th birthday. Addison and her invitees also created posters that were sent to veterans at the Salisbury VA Medical Center.

Way to go, Bayla and Jordan!
