Superintendent Chris Lowder announced the following personnel appointment today.
Heather Stowe, facilitator at Patriots STEM Elementary School, has been named assistant principal at Jay M. Robinson High School, replacing Ken Simeone, who was named principal of the new Cabarrus Virtual Academy in June.
Stowe joined Cabarrus County Schools as a classroom teacher at Beverly Hills STEM Elementary School in 2012. She also completed her student teaching at R. Brown McAllister STEM Elementary School. She joined the Patriots STEM family in 2014 as a facilitator, collaborating with teachers and staff to enhance student reading and learning.
Before beginning her career in education, Stowe was an information technology and project management professional who worked at leading firms such as TIAA, Norman Technologies, ACN, Inc. and Fidelity Information Services.
She earned a bachelor’s degree from Johnson C. Smith University and a master’s degree and school administration certification from the University of North Carolina at Charlotte.
