School Social Work Week 03/02/2020
The week of March 1-7 marks the celebration of School Social Work Week. With the theme “Beacon of Hope: School Social Workers – Lighting the Way” school social workers across the country will highlight how in their role, they can light the way, emphasizing the whole child, collaborating with other professionals, linking students and families with needed services, and advocating for our profession.
School Social Workers are committed to improving the educational success and the social and emotional development of all students. They offer a range of services including assessments, individual and group counseling, crisis prevention and intervention, parent education and training, collaboration with community agencies and organizations, program coordination, policy development and addressing barriers to student attendance.
Cabarrus County Schools is proud of our team of school social workers and are grateful for their passion, commitment and advocacy in the lives of children and families. Thank you school social workers!
Our Cabarrus County SChools social workers invite you to help replenish needed items in the Junior Charity League’s Clothing Room as part of the National School Social Work week celebration! See details here.
