Personnel Announcements 01/15/2020
Superintendent Chris Lowder made the following personnel announcements today, which have been approved by the Cabarrus County Board of Education.
 
Brian Schultz, assistant superintendent of auxiliary services, will become deputy superintendent of administrative services, replacing Lynn Rhymer, who will retire in March.
 
Schultz returned to CCS in July after working in Guilford County Schools and Charlotte-Mecklenburg Schools. He was director of elementary education for Cabarrus County Schools and also worked as a principal, assistant principal of instruction and a teacher in our district.
 
He earned a bachelor’s degree from Purdue University and a master’s degree from the University of North Carolina at Charlotte.
 
Schultz and Rhymer are working together to ensure a smooth transition.
 
Casey Campbell, assistant principal at Cox Mill High School, will transfer to Weddington Hills Elementary School, to replace Molly Arledge, who has resigned.
 

Campbell joined Cabarrus County Schools as an English teacher in 2006 at Jay M. Robinson High School. She also worked as a lead mentor before becoming a North Carolina Principal Fellow. She worked as a principal intern at Weddington Hills Elementary School and as an assistant principal in Rowan-Salisbury Schools before returning to CCS in 2018.

 
She earned a bachelor’s degree from the University of North Carolina at Chapel Hill and master’s degrees from the University of North Carolina at Charlotte.
