CMES Students Learn About Prosthetics 11/27/2018

Cox Mill Elementary students learned about prosthetics and orthodontics during a special presentation by Hangar Clinic. The presentation followed along with a nonfiction reading unit where students learned about animals with prosthetics. Hangar Clinic worked with Winter the dolphin, featured in the movie Dolphin Tale, to create her prosthetic tail. Clinic representatives brought in one of her tails for students to see the process of creating a prosthesis from beginning to end for both humans and animals.
