CCS VEX Teams Impress at States 03/14/2017

VEX Robotics teams from J.N. Fries Magnet, Northwest Cabarrus Middle, and Jay M. Robinson High earned awards this weekend at the VEX North Carolina State Championship held on March 11th.

The J.N. Fries B Team won the NC State Vex IQ Teamwork Challenge, qualifying the team to compete in the VEX World Championships in April. The J.N. Fries A Team won the Judges Award and Design Award distinctions. The Northwest Cabarrus team placed second, missing first by only two points. The Jay M. Robinson C Team won the North Carolina State VEX Tournament Excellence Award and the Skills Challenge Award. These distinctions earn the team an opportunity to compete in the VEX World Championships. This is the fourth year the Bulldog program has qualified a team to compete in the World Championships. The Bulldogs A & B Teams finished the tournament as runners-up, missing the mark of 4-time State Champs by a razor thin margin.

Congratulations to our VEX competitors!
