2023-24 Academic Calendar Updates

The Cabarrus County Board of Education has approved the 2023-24 traditional academic calendar and amended the start date to Aug. 10, 2023 during their business meeting on Dec. 12th.  The calendar was originally approved at the Sept. 19th meeting of the Board of Education.

The 2023-24 academic calendar notes:

• The first day of school for students is Aug. 10.  The first workday for staff is Aug. 2.
  
  
• The 2023-24 traditional academic calendar and 2023-24 Early College calendar breaks will align for fall, winter and spring.
  
  
• High school exams will occur prior to the start of winter break on Dec. 18.
  
  
• The last day of school will be May 22, 2024.
  
  
• Traditional high school graduations will be conducted on May 23-24, 2024 prior to Memorial Day. Early College and Cabarrus Virtual Academy graduations are TBD.
