Public Hearings Scheduled
The Cabarrus County Board of Education (BOE) will host Public Hearings about the 2021-2022 Fiscal Year Budget and Proposed Middle School Student Realignment on April 12th and April 13th respectively.
Each Public Hearing will begin at 6 p.m. and will be held at the Education Center located at 4401 Old Airport Road. COVID-19 indoor gathering restrictions limit the number of people allowed in the boardroom. Both Public Hearings will be streamed live on the district’s YouTube Channel.
Persons wishing to address the BOE at either of the Public Hearings must register to speak with the Executive Clerk via email at  no later than 5:30 p.m. on the day of the hearing. Speakers must include their name, group name (if applicable), address and phone number. 
Speakers must remain in their vehicles. A CCS staff member will call the number provided when it is their turn to enter the building. All speakers will be required to wear a mask, as well as complete a COVID-19 screening and have their temperature checked before entering the building. No one is permitted to enter the building with any speaker, and each speaker must exit the building immediately following their comments. Individual speakers may address the Board for three minutes, and those speaking on behalf of a group have five minutes to address the Board. Groups must select one speaker to represent them.
