Results Show Outstanding Student Growth 09/04/2019

The North Carolina Department of Public Instruction (NCDPI) released the 2018-2019 the Accountability and School Performance Report today. The report includes a variety of data including graduation rates, student proficiency for EOG and EOC tests, as well as academic growth.

2018-2019 School Accountability results indicate 94% (34 schools) of all CCS traditional schools either Met or Exceeded academic growth for students.  This is an increase of 5% from the 2017-2018 school year where 89% of schools Met or Exceeded academic growth.

“We know that the work our excellent teachers are doing in the classroom is challenging our students to do more and learn more,” said Dr. Crystal Hill, assistant superintendent of curriculum and instruction. “We always want to see our students grow one or more years academically, and today’s results show that we are reaching that goal for the majority of our students.”
