CMHS Wins 3A State Basketball Championship 03/13/2017

In their first championship appearance, the Cox Mill High School men’s basketball team clinched the 3A state title. The matchup between Cox Mill and Eastern Guilford took place on Saturday, March 11th at the Dean Smith Center in Chapel Hill. Never trailing during the game, Cox Mill finished with 70 points over Eastern Guilford’s 66. Wendell Moore Jr. was named the game’s MVP with 29 points and 12 rebounds. He also had a trio of assists and blocks. Caleb Stone-Carrawell was named the Chargers Most Outstanding Player of the game finishing with 13 points, seven rebounds and a pair of blocks.
