    WHAT IS THE STEM EXECUTIVE BOARD
    The STEM Executive Board is our STEM student body representative group that will assist teachers in planning and hosting STEM events such as Open House nights, overnight retreats, and community events. In addition, representatives will help raise funds and participate in community service, promote school spirit, and create celebrations for the STEM program. All executive board members are responsible for soliciting class involvement for all activities. Most importantly, members represent ALL grade levels. It truly is an honor to be on the STEM Executive Board. You will be a school leader who is actively involved in making the STEM program at Central Cabarrus a wonderful program to be a part of!


    QUALIFICATIONS
    1.) Student must maintain and currently have an 80% average in ALL STEM courses and not be failing courses outside of STEM.
    2.) Student must not have extensive discipline record and must be in good standing with teachers and administrators.
    3.) MUST be available to meet the 1st Tuesday of EVERY MONTH after school for approximately 1 hour. If you CANNOT meet this criteria, you will be asked to step down. COMMITMENT IS KEY.


    DIRECTIONS
    Please answer each question carefully. Your answers will be reviewed by STEM teachers ONLY. STEM teachers will then choose the top candidates. ONLY 7 CANDIDATES WILL BE CHOSEN FOR THE STEM EXECUTIVE BOARD. No ballots will be administered.


    APPLICATION TIMELINE
    1.) September 10th-September 17th: fill out application
    2.) September 17th: applications due by 11:59pm
    3.) September 18th-20th: Applications reviewed and ballot narrowed down
    3.) September 21st: All applicants notified--STEM Executive Board announced

    WHY THE CHANGE?
    1.) A more focused and tailored group is needed to assist teachers frequently with planning events for STEM.

    2.) Asking all students to assist with STEM events has proven to be the most beneficial to the program as a whole and everyone gets the chance to be involved.
