Welcome! I grew up in Pinehurst, North Carolina and graduated from Pinecrest High School. I attended Appalachian State University where I graduated with a B.A. in Biology and minor in Chemistry.

Later, I pursued a teaching certification for Middle Grades Science and Biology for grades 9-12. I moved to Cabarrus county in 2007. I live in Harrisburg with my husband and children. I also enjoy running, biking, and traveling. 

I look forward to another great year at High Ridge High School!
