Degrees and Certifications:
Mrs. Jamie Dalrymple
Welcome to 4th Grade!
This will be my third year at Bethel and my 14th year as an educator. My previous experience was teaching fourth and fifth grade in Union County. I graduated from State University of New York at Oswego in 2003 with my Bachelor of Arts in Elementary Education, and in 2006 with my Masters of Education with a concentration in Curriculum and Instruction.
I am orginally from a small city in New York, but I love North Carolina! I live in Concord with my husband, Evan. I love to travel, cook, go to the beach, and spend time with friends and family.
This year we have teamed up with Atrium Health to bring awareness to a healthier lifestyle through their Healthy Together Program.
Your child received a pledge form a few weeks ago to sign up to eat 5 servings of fruits and vegetables per day, have 2 hours or less of "fun" screen time, 1 hour or more of physical activity, and 0 sugary drinks.
Please sign those pledge forms so that we can all work towards being healthier and more active together!
What We're Learning
We are currenlty working in nonfiction where we are focusing on text structure strategies to help determine importance, find main idea/details, summarize and building on vocabulary and analyzing multiple texts on the same topic.
Students will read for 30 minutes each night, Monday through Friday. They are to record the title of the book and the number of pages read in their agendas.
We are currently finishing up our realistic fiction narratives. Students are either writing a true or made up story showing ways to make the reader think it could happen.
