Mrs. Courtney Ballard
Welcome to my my class! I am so excited to begin this new school year and to meet each of you. Here is just a little about me...
I have been teaching at Cox Mill High school for over 6 years, and prior to that I was an 8th grade math teacher. I am married, have a two daughters - Sophia (2) and Addie Mae (infant), and two precious Yorkies, Teddy and Scooby. Teaching math is very special to me, because in middle school math was not always easy for me. I had a teacher who challenged me to always do my best. She was arguably the hardest teacher I ever had, but she inspired me to persevere through problem-solving. As I struggled and asked many questions, I learned and my understanding grew every day. Eventually, math became my favorite subject. I write this to encourage you! I did not always like math, but now I LOVE math and recognize its importance in the world around me! I hope that I can inspire you to be the best that you can be in my classroom and in the world outside of my classroom.
