Mr. David Broome

Welcome to my Class WebPage!

We will be using Canvas. Click on the link below if you don't know how to access Canvas. I look forward to the challenge starting Monday, March 30th. Stay safe out there!

You can find me in Pod 405, "The Broom Room," teaching Standard/Honors Math 3 and Advanced Functions and Modeling (AFM). This is my 5th year at Central Cabarrus and I count it a privilege to work with your teenager.

I'm from Charlotte, NC and I'm a product of Cabarrus County Schools graduated from Northwest Cabarrus. I earned my BA in Mathematics and BS in Secondary Mathematics Education from East Carolina University (GO PIRATES!!! ARRGHHHH)

I'm one of the instructors for the Driver's Education Program here at Central Cabarrus. This will be my 4th year as the Head Coach for the Mens JV Basketball Team and my 5th year as the Head Assistant for the Varsity Basketball Team here at Central Cabarrus.

I can't wait for us all to learn new things about math and ourselves together! If you ever have any questions about anything the best method to reach me is by email.

PowerSchool's Parent Portal gives parents and students access to on-line information including attendance, and grades. Everyone stays connected: Students stay on top of assignments, parents are able to participate more fully in their student's progress, and teachers can share information with parents and students. I encourage students, along with their parents, to have the username and password to be able to ensure that all assignments are completed and turned in on time and also to keep track of their current class average and overall G.P.A.

The username and password do not change from one year to another.  If you have misplaced your username and password you can contact the Central office staff and they will give you the access information.  Office telephone is 704-260-6570 or you can email

  • Extra Help
Feel like you need extra help or just need a place to come work or use calculators? My room will always be open during Central Connections! I am available at other times by appointment.
