Welcome, I have a love for teaching and an extensive background in the field of Business and Marketing. I am excited about this year and what it may bring. I am an experienced teacher that has a passion for education and helping others. I have a Bachelor's in Political Science/Pre-Law from South Carolina State University. I have multiple Masters; however, my primary Masters is in Business Administration. Additionally, I received my teaching certification from UNC Charlotte. In my spare time I love to spend time with my family especially my husband and my two daughters. I also love basketball but will watch any sport!!! Please feel free to contact me in regards to the success of your child(ren). We will use several online technologies to include Canvas for classwork, Schoolnet for testing, etc. I will provide more information about these technologies in the Syllabus. I look forward to fostering a great relationships with your child(ren) and with you!! Let's have a great year/semester.
I hope that you all are doing well. On Monday, 03/30 we will start our review of previously taught and learning new online tools. I will continue to use Canvas as I have in the past. If you have not already viewed the announcement tab or Inbox tab on Canvas please do so in order to be ready for this week. Canvas Log-in Info (where all assignments, notes, and announcements are located)
- Type in cabarrus.instructure.com on Mozilla Firefox or Google Chrome OR go to the NCHS Homepage and click on Canvas
- Once on Google click on Sign-in (top left in blue)
- Log in info is the first initial of student’s first name, entire last name, last 4 of student id. When prompted the password is student’s full student id.
- Once you are successful logged in it will bring you to your dashboard.
- Click on "Quick-the class you are enrolled in"
- Go to Modules
- Assignments are listed in the order in which we complete them.
- From here you are able to see all assignment, submit assignments, view grades and comments that were placed on grades.
Note for the most update grades always check PowerSchool.
Schoolnet (only used for in-class unit test or quizzes)

- When prompted the student's information is as follows below
o Username: Full student id/lunch number
- Example: 03171234
o Password: Was determined by the student and should be on their password sheet
o Once in you should see an icon of a Red house, click on it. This will bring you to your dashboard where you can enter a new testing code or view old test & scores.
