Kaylyn Collier

Welcome! My name is Kaylyn Collier and this is my seventh year at Central Cabarrus High School. I love being a part of the Viking family and I cannot wait to see what your student does this semester in English I. I am also the CCHS Yearbook Adviser and am excited to share our book with everyone this summer. In addition to my classes, I am the co-adviser for the National Honor Society with Ms. Lena Ty.

I graduated from the University of North Carolina-Charlotte with a Bachelor's degree in English and a minor in Secondary Education. I am originally from Nebraska (Go Big Red!), but after finishing my college career in Charlotte, I am staying put in North Carolina. My family loves CCHS, I am married to fellow Viking and English IV teacher, Mr. Collier! I have a nine-year-old son, Sam, who is a fourth grader at Cox Mill Elementary School this year and a daughter, Harper, who will be two in April. I also have two step-sons, Alex, who is a third grader at Mt. Pleasant Elementary & Jonathan who is five.

You can find my syllabus in the English I documents and my grading policy is also listed in my syllabus. Please access Canvas on the school's main webpage (click the Canvas icon), my link to my live classes can be found in Canvas. Please do not hesitate to contact me with questions or concerns. I look forward to an amazing semester this fall.
