Kaylyn Collier

Welcome! My name is Kaylyn Collier and this is my sixth year at Central Cabarrus High School. I love being a part of the Viking family and I cannot wait to see what your student does this semester in English I. I am also the CCHS Yearbook Adviser and am excited to share our book with everyone in early June. This semester I will have a student from UNC-Charlotte coming to observe my English I classes (information can be found on my course syllabus).

I graduated from the University of North Carolina-Charlotte with a Bachelors degree in English and a minor in Secondary Education. I am originally from Nebraska (Go Big Red!), but after finishing my college career in Charlotte, I am staying put in North Carolina. My family loves CCHS, I am married to fellow Viking and English IV teacher, Mr. Collier! I have an nine-year-old son, Sam, who is a third grader at Cox Mill Elementary School this year and a daughter, Harper, who will be one this spring. I also have two step-sons, Alex, who is a 2nd grader at Mt. Pleasant Elementary & Jonathan who is four!
