Lt Col Calvin Martin

Lieutenant Colonel Calvin Martin is the Senior Aerospace Science Instructor for the Air Force JROTC program at Northwest Cabarrus High School.  He began his military career in 1982 as an Intercontinental Ballistic Missile Launch Officer in the Titan II Weapon System.  He culminated his military service at Francis E. Warren Air Force Base as a Missile Operations Squadron Commander and the 90th Space Wing's Director of Staff, retiring from the United States Air Force in 2004.  Along with Senior Master Sergeant Corinne Smith, they started the Air Force JROTC program at Northwest Cabarrus High School in August 2006.  His focus is on the Air Force JROTC mission of "developing citizens of character dedicated to serving the nation and community."  Additionally, he serves as an Assistant Coach for the Men's Varsity Basketball Team.
