Mrs. Ashley Haynes

Hello I am the Technology Facilitator for Odell Elementary (Grades 3-5).

I am so excited to meet you! But first I want to tell you a little bit about me. This is my first year as a Technology Facilitator and my first year at Odell! I am so excited to be a Dragon! I previously taught 6 years at Irvin Elementary. I was born in Pittstown, New Jersey and moved to Hockessin, Delaware before 1st grade. I moved to Raleigh before middle school and attended high school at Millbrook (Go Wildcats!). I have a sister who is married to an Army Apache Helicopter pilot and brother who is a sophomore at Western Carolina.

I graduated with my bachelors in Elementary Education with a concentration in Visual and Performing Arts from UNC-Charlotte. I also went back and got my graduate certificate in Instructional Technology. I am very passionate about technology! I am married to my wonderful husband Jamie and we have a fun and spunky 4 year old named Allison. I have two dogs named Charlie and Ginger. When I’m not up at school, I love crafting, digital graphic design, and learning about the latest trends in education and technology. My favorite stores are Target and Hobby Lobby! I love sushi of all sorts and tamales! My favorite color is purple. My favorite candy are Sour Patch Kids and Peanut Butter Dove Chocolates! My favorite book series is Harry Potter. My current favorite book is Dear Martin and Dear Justyce! My favorite movie is ANYTHING DISNEY & Clouds!
