Degrees and Certifications:
Mr. Robert Marshall
It is indeed an honor and a privilege to be working with the students and their parents/guardians of Cox Mill Elementary School! I am excited about all of the opportunities our students have to be successful. I truly believe that in order to make a student successful, we have to educate the whole student. We help develop the social-emotional side of them too. As the support system for each student, the school and the parent must work together to ensure that each child is successful! Please do not hesitate to contact me if there is anything you feel you need to share about your child. I will do the same.
We are indeed living in some interesting times. I feel fortunate to be working in a school system where there are high expectations for student growth and achievement, regardless of where learning takes place. There is a learning curve for all of us: CCS employees, students and parents. Rest assured we are all in this together and we will all be stronger for it. If you are having any trouble with accessing links, getting information, etc. please do not hesitate to e-mail your teacher or me and we will do our best to give you the assistance you need right away.
Professionally, this is my 15th year as an administrator with Cabarrus County Schools. My areas of supervision include, but are not limited to, K-2 Administrator and Bus Supervisor. Prior to becoming an administrator, I was a special education teacher for thirteen years. I have earned a Bachelor of Arts degree with a dual major of History and Social Sciences, a Master of Science degree in Special Education, a Master of Science degree in Liberal Studies with a concentration in teaching and a Master of Arts degree in School District Administration.
Personally I have been married 29 years to my wonderful wife Robin. Our daughter Chelsea is 28 and is living in Charlotte. Our son Andrew graduated Cox Mill High School in 2016 and is a Corporal in the United States Marine Corps. Our son Michael graduated Cox Mill High School in 2017 and is a senior UNCC. We have a dog named Gibbs, another dog named Canoli and a cat named Bella. As a family we like to kayak, camp and hike. The boys and I like to fly fish - the ladies.....not so much-
I encourage you to view the list of parent resources I have the next page. They cover topics in academics, exceptional children, transitioning and bullying to name but a few.
I wish you and your child all the best for the school year. Again, should you have any questions or would like to speak with me, please do not hesitate to reach out!
