My name is Mrs. Paxton, and I am one of the Special Education teachers at W.M. Irvin. This is my sixth year of teaching, and my fifth year at Irvin. My favorite thing about teaching is getting to know every student, and watching how much they grow throughout the year. It is amazing how much we all can learn in just one year!
A little about me... I graduated from the University of Wisconsin-Eau Claire where I earned my Bachelor's degree in both Special Education, and Elementary Education. I moved to North Carolina from Wisconsin in 2013, and it is where most of my family still lives. I graduated in May 2018 from the University of North Carolina - Greensboro with my master's degree in Elementary Math Education.
I am a huge football fan, and am excited for another fantastic year from the Green Bay Packers!! :) In my spare time I enjoy attending sporting events, cooking, and hanging out with my pets, Emmy and Lilo. Last year my husband and I welcomed our first child; her name is Morgan.
At Irvin I am heavily involved with the schools intervention team (MTSS), along with collaborating with other teachers to provide both coteaching and pullout EC services.
I am looking forward another productive school year!
