Cox Mill High School

    Mission Statement:

    The mission of Cox Mill High School is to graduate all students as empowered problem solvers, continual learners, and productive citizens.

    Vision Statements:
    To create a family of students, parents, staff, and community members who promote high expectations for all learners within a collaborative environment

    To utilize 21st century strategies and technologies in order to graduate students who will be globally competitive in post-secondary education and/or the workplace

    To ensure a safe and healthy school environment focused on an engaging, rigorous curriculum, and caring, respectful relationships among all stakeholders

    Classes begin at 7:15 AM. Students are dismissed at 2:15 PM.

    If school is delayed one hour, classes will begin at 8:15 AM. If school is delayed 2 hours, classes will begin at 9:15 AM.


    School closings and delays can be found at the top of this web site, on the main Cabarrus County Schools web site, and on most local radio and TV stations, including Time Warner channel 21. 

    Cox Mill HS

    Cox Mill High School has been open since Fall 2009.  We opened with 900 students and grew to almost 1300 by 2013.  We started the 2019-2020 school year with approximately 1,950 students.


    Our mascot is a Charger which is displayed as a knight on horseback and also a lightning bolt.
