Mrs. Kristy Bullock
Principal

I am honored to be serving as the principal of J.N. Fries Magnet School. Prior to working at J.N. Fries Magnet School, I served as the principal at C.C. Griffin Middle School for seven years, an assistant principal in Cabarrus County Schools for five years, and a high school math teacher for 6 years. I received my Masters in School Administration as a participant in the Principal Fellows Program at The University of North Carolina at Charlotte.

I received my Bachelors degree as a participant in the Teaching Fellows Program at Appalachian State University. I grew up in the western part of North Carolina but have been in the Concord area since I graduated from college. My husband and I are the proud parents of two boys. When I’m not at school enjoying my role as a school administrator, I am typically in a gym or at the ball field supporting my boys at one of their sporting events.

Mrs. Alyn Szymanski
Assistant Principal

I am a proud Noble Knight and member of the JN Fries leadership team. Prior to my role as assistant principal at JN Fries, I served as principal intern through the North Carolina Principal Fellows program and taught middle grades language arts and social studies in neighboring districts. I am thrilled to be in my fifth year at JN Fries and in Cabarrus County.

I earned a Masters in School Administration from The University of North Carolina at Charlotte, a Masters in Curriculum and Supervision from Appalachian State University, and a Bachelors degree in Middle Childhood Education from Baldwin Wallace University in Ohio. I was born and raised in Ohio, but have spent most of my adult life as a North Carolinian. When not on campus, you’ll find me with my husband (who is also a proud Cabarrus County educator) and two children.
