Cheerleading tryouts have been MOVED, county-wide, to the first week of August! We will hold open gyms over the summer, so be on the lookout for those, but official tryouts will be August 1-3, with camp to follow August 4-6 at UNC Chapel Hill. There will be a MANDATORY parent meeting for all those who MAKE the team immediately following team announcement on August 3rd, and camp payments will be due at that time!
If you missed the meeting, here is the Tryout Packet. Please READ the packet thoroughly and email email@example.com with any questions.

Immediately following making the team, the Minergirls attend a three day camp at UNC Chapel Hill. Both 7th and 8th grade football cheerleaders cheer from August through October at every home game. 8th grade basketball tryouts are immediately afterwards, and they cheer home and away games through the second week of December. 7th grade basketball cheerleading tryouts are the first week of January, and the season runs through the first week of March, cheering both home and away games. We cheer for these sports, as well as participate in various pep rallies and school events here at CMS. CMS Minergirls make a commitment to being the best of the best in our sport!
