Degrees and Certifications:
BA Early Childhood and Family Development
Welcome to Beverly Hills! I'm so excited for you and your family as you begin this chapter of your lives. Kindergarten is an exciting year and children will learn so much, academically and socially!
My name is Connie Pilkinton and this year starts my 12th year teaching in Cabarrus County. I graduated from UNC-Charlotte in 2006 with a BA in Child and Family Development and have since used that degree to work with children and their families. I have an open-door policy for my classroom and strongly encourage parent participation, after all, parents are a child's most important teacher. Visitors are always welcome; however, I do ask that you wait at least a month before visiting the classroom to give the children time to adapt to their new environment.
Since I am going to be spending so much time with your precious child, I thought I would share a little about myself. I grew up in a very small town called Cliffside, NC but have lived around the Charlotte area since 2001. Currently I live in Stanly county with my husband, Kyle, our daughter, Avery, who is going to second grade this year, our three-year old son, Easton, who will be attending the Mary Francis Wall Center, and our Rottweiler Keira. In my free time, I do children's missions in our church, play and watch sports, especially the Carolina Panthers and Atlanta Braves, and hang out with friends. During the summer, I enjoy fishing, spending time at the beach with my best friend, and going to the lake.
I am so excited to meet and work with you and your child this year and look forward to this adventure with you!
