    WHO IS JOE SERVISS?

Mr. Serviss is a CTE Teacher who specializes in Business, Marketing, and Finance. He is married (Mrs. Serviss is also a teacher at CCS) and has three children who are all Cabarrus County Schools students. Mr. Serviss also serves the school as Lead Mentor and works diligently to ensure new teachers and their mentors have all the tools and resources they need to succeed. He works with the school administrative team to support their efforts and his professional growth as he continues to pursue positions as an assistant principal.

If you have ever been to a school event or athletic contest, you can hear the voice of Mr. Serviss, who has been the Public Address Announcer for Jay M. Robinson for many years during special events including graduation, senior nights, homecoming, and pep rallies, as well as football, basketball, and baseball athletic events. For the past 9 years, he has also worked side-by-side with the Director of Vex Robotics for Cabarrus County Schools, Mr. David Parisi, as an Event Manager, and Master of Ceremonies for all Vex Robotics Events.

Mr. Serviss also serves on the PBIS team and the School Safety Team. In the past, he has worked with the MTSS team, Chaired the PBIS team, and has served as the SIT representative for the CTE department. Mr. Serviss is always willing to lend a helping hand, whether it's canvas maintenance, training, course repair, or technology issues, or just helping the athletic department get ready for events. Mr. Serviss has also built several business courses used in other schools throughout Cabarrus County High Schools.

Mr. Serviss also volunteers many hours and works with school, community, county, and state leaders for the benefit of all students and staff of Cabarrus County Schools. This September, Mr. Serviss will announce the Harrisburg Multicultural Festival for the 5th consecutive year. Mr. Serviss is a caring educator and skillful leader. He always looks to remove barriers from students' lives that impede learning and living. He acts in the capacity of a mentor and coach with every student and staff member he meets and his devotion to Jay M. Robinson and Cabarrus County Schools is evident in everything he does. It is obvious why so many students are drawn to his exciting and engaging personality.
