All lessons are posted online in Canvas. To access Canvas, go to the Concord Middle School main webpage, scroll down, and click on the "Canvas" icon. You will be asked to sign in with your CCS school ID. Parents may also sign in to "Observe" the Canvas course. There is a Canvas app you can download to your phone or mobile device (Check your app store for the free Canvas app).
Mr. Landon also uses an app called "Remind". He sends out reminders about homework, test, quizzes, and projects as well as study guides and answers to the study guides. To receive reminders from Mr. Landon, click on the link to the left "Remind sign up information" then click on the link for your class and follow the directions. You may sign up with your cell phone or an email account.
Parents are strongly encouraged to sign up for access to Powerschool. Teachers use Powerschool to input student grades. By signing up for access to Powerschool, parents and students can see their grades as they are posted. To sign up for Powerschool, parents need to contact Mrs. Sandra Wallace, data manager, to get a Powerschool code so you can have access to your childs PS grades. You can call the school and request to speak with her or you can e-mail Ms. Wallace at: firstname.lastname@example.org
Mr. Landon does not offer extra credit. All assignments are due on-time and it is your responsibility to access the lessons and study material located in Canvas, to sign up for reminders, and to attend tutoring or to email Mr. Landon with questions/concerns in order to be prepared for Unit tests and exams.
Mr. Landon has been teaching for over 25 years. He started teaching in NY in 1989. In 1996 he moved to NC where he has taught special education until switching over to Science in 2014.
