My name is Craig Waskiewicz and I am a 7th grade science teacher at C.C. Griffin Middle School. I taught 6th grade mathematics at Concord Middle for 5 years, and I taught 9th grade algebra I at Concord High for 1 year before joining the C.C. Griffin staff in 2013. This will be my 14th year teaching, and my 14th year as a student council advisor. Over the past 14 years I have assisted with multiple athletic teams including football, baseball, basketball, and softball. I attended Wright State University in Dayton, Ohio, where I obtained a Master's Degree in Middle Childhood Education (4-9) in mathematics and social studies.
In response to the COVID-19 pandemic, we are beginning the 2020-2021 school year in Phase C with a completely virtual educational experience. Students will be able to find all of their course work in CANVAS and all LIVE sessions will take place in Microsoft Teams. LIVE lessons will occur daily Monday through Thursday. Friday lessons will be prerecorded for students and focus on applying skills used from earlier in the week. Current LIVE times are as follows:
9:10-10:10 (2nd period)
10:15-11:15 (3rd period)
1:50-2:50 (6th period)
2:55-3:55 (7th period)
Office Hours (Friday)
12:10-1:45 (office hours for answering emails)
As we have time to develop our abilities with the available technologies, please continue to check back in to see if there are any updates or changes. For my science classes, I am attempting to keep everything in CANVAS so that students can continue to look for science assignments in a setting that should be familiar from 6th grade and will be the standard platform used by all CCS classes for the 2020-2021 school year. I have entered all students into Microsoft Teams to handle LIVE sessions. Instructions will be posted in CANVAS so that students are able to access their Microsoft Teams accounts. If you have any questions, please feel free to email me at email@example.com or to call/text my Google Voice number (704) 856-9567.
The easiest way to get ahold of me quickly should occur if students or parents text my Google Voice number mentioned above. If students need to ask questions, they should contact me through CANVAS, since some personal emails are filtered out as spam and might not always include important infomation like the student's full name.
