My name is Craig Waskiewicz and I am a 7th grade science teacher at C.C. Griffin Middle School. I taught 6th grade mathematics at Concord Middle for 5 years, and I taught 9th grade algebra I at Concord High for 1 year before joining the C.C. Griffin staff in 2013. This will be my 13th year teaching, and my 13th year as a student council advisor. Over the past 13 years I have assisted with multiple athletic teams including football, baseball, basketball, and softball. I attended Wright State University in Dayton, Ohio, where I obtained a Master's Degree in Middle Childhood Education (4-9) in mathematics and social studies.
Now that our current response to the COVID 19 pandemic has resulted in school cancellation beyond 3/30/20, efforts are being made to provide students with a digital learning experience. Online lessons will be uploaded 5 times a week (3 of which should be accompanied by recorded instruction), and teachers will provide time online for students to login and speak with their teacher. Current LIVE times are as follows:
9:00-9:30 (2nd period)
9:35-10:05 (3rd period)
1:00-1:30 (6th period)
1:35-2:05 (7th period)
2:10-4:00 (daily office hours for answering emails)
As we have time to develop our abilities with the available technologies, please continue to check back in to see if there are any updates or changes. For my science classes, I am attempting to keep everything in CANVAS so that students can continue to look for science assignments in a setting they have been using all year long. I have entered all students into Microsoft Teams to handle LIVE sessions. Instructions will be posted in CANVAS so that students are able to access their Microsoft Teams accounts. If you have any questions, please feel free to email me at email@example.com or to call my Google Voice number (704) 856-9567.
***I am currently trying to navigate this process without internet access (down since 3/24). While I wait to circumvent that problem, I do forsee that next week may not run smoothly with all of my LIVE times and uploads. Thank you for any patience you can offer. For the first part of the week, calling/texting my Google Voice number maybe the best way to get questions answered.
