Ms. Annette Griffin

I have been teaching language arts for a number of years.  I am a native of Cabarrus County so I completed all of my education in the Cabarrus County school system graduating from Central Cabarrus.  I also graduated from Appalachian State University in Boone, NC.  Go Mountaineers!!  My family and I live in Cabarrus County so we are very familiar with the community.  I hope that you will find a love for reading that perhaps you have not experienced until now, or that you will continue to cultivate your passion and share that love with your fellow classmates this year.  We will have a great time learning and growing together.

Please remember that we are paperless for progress reports and report cards so please log into Parent Portal to check on your child's grades on a regular basis.  The students are asked and reminded to check grades daily.  Also, we have 3-day recovery policy for work turned in past the due date.  Students may have a working lunch, come in for morning tutoring in Ms. Koch's room with a pass or complete the missing work for homework.  Also, students have 3 days to make up work from absences or they will fall into the recovery option.  After the recovery time has passed, the work cannot be turned in resulting in a zero.

We use Google Classroom to post materials for assignments and review and to occasionally turn in assignments.  We have paper assignments as well which should be placed in the appropriate bin in the classroom when due.  Students are able to access Google Classroom from home with internet/wi-fi connections. If assignments are not listed in Google Classroom, you may find additional information here on the website.
