I would like to thank everyone for all of the prayers, cards, meals, well-wishes, welcoming me back and overall kindness shown to my wife and I during my absence due to a very serious auto accident last March. You will never know just how important that was to my recovery in trying to heal and get back to what I enjoy and that is teaching our young people here at Cox Mill Elementary School.

I have been teaching/coaching for 35+ years. My undergraduate degree in Physical Education is from Wake Forest University and my graduate degree in Health Education is from UNC Charlotte. I am a National Board Certified teacher.

For Physical Education class, students need to be prepared by wearing proper shoes and clothing for a safe, active and fun time. Keeping up with the days your child has PE can be difficult with a rotation schedule that does not give one specific day for that class. I recommend printing off a calendar from the school web site that includes rotation days and highlight the rotation days for PE as a reminder.
Carefully check the school calendar for which rotation schedule day it will be as some students will have PE on Days 1 and 5; some on Days 2 and 6; some on Days 3 and 7; and the rest on Days 4 and 8. Check with the classroom teacher for which set of days are assigned to your child's class.
