Mrs. Darcey Tomasino

I have been teaching for a little over 20 years, most of which have been here at Mt. Pleasant High School. I love reading, swimming, baking, cooking, gardening, and practicing yoga. I was born and raised in upstate New York, but I have been in North Carolina for almost 20 years. My husband and I do not have any human children of our own. (I like to think that I help to raise other people's kids.) I do have fur babies who keep me company and give me unconditional love :).

Classroom Expectations

    1. Be READY to work when the bell rings each day.  This means that before the bell, you turn off your cell phone and put it away, and you have your textbook, journal, daybook and any work that is due on your desk.
    2. Be RESPONSIBLE for your own actions and decisions. Know that what you do, or refuse to do, can affect everyone in the room, whether it’s sleeping, talking, or not participating.
    3. Be RESPECTFUL to yourself, to your peers, and to me. To be respected, you must show respect. This means being aware of others’ needs, not just your own.
