Welcome to 2nd Grade!
I graduated from Appalachian State University with a Bachelor of Science degree in elementary education and from the University of South Carolina with a Master of Education in elementary education. This is my 28th year of teaching. I have taught in NC, SC and FL. I have taught 4th and 5th grades, but my favorite is 2nd!
My husband and I have two daughters; Sara is nineteen (Sophomore at ASU), and Ellie is sixteen years old (11th grade at Cox Mill High School). Ellie swims year round, so I am very much a swim mom! We have @ 120 pound ball of joy~ Great Dane named Bea and a black lab named Lucy! I enjoy reading, walking, watching the South Carolina Gamecocks, and anything gluten free! If you are looking for me on a weekend, head for the mountains! It is my happy place and I truly love being up there!

2nd Grade Homework Schedule I would like each student to read 20 minutes per day. Study addition and subtraction facts to 20.Our daily schedule is as follows:
8:15-8:50 Morning Meeting
8:50-10:25 Reading (Letterland and Small groups during this time too!)
10:25-10:55 Writing
10:55-11:25 Recess
11:45-12:15 Lunch
12:15-12:35 Science/SS
12:35-2:05 Math (Small groups)
2:05-2:50 ENCORE
