Kindergarten is a very exciting year!  For many children it is the first time in a classroom setting, for others it's moving to "big" school.  My goal for your child is to learn to be a global citizen, critical thinker and problem solver.  They will be learning how to read, write stories, how to use numbers everyday and many more fun things!!!
    Great ready and let's GO!!!

  • I have been at Winecoff for 29 years.  I have taught Kindergarten for the last 19 years.  I love teaching Kindergarten.  I love to see the children grow throughout the year.  Your child is going to have a very special year. I can't wait to meet them. Here is a little bit about me.  I have actually been at Winecoff my whole life.  I went here as a child, so Winecoff is very special to me.  I am a 3rd generation teacher in Cabarrus County.    My husband (Nick) and I have 2 girls (Caroline and Catherine).  I also have a "little baby" Yorkie (Lilly).   I'm sure your children will tell you all about me as well as my family.  I use them as examples when I teach writing.  I can't wait to hear all about your child and your family. My family

  • homework
Your child will receive homework each Monday.  There is an activity for each night of the week along with sight words to study nightly.  The homework sheet can be left in your child's folder or returned on Friday.
**Don't forget you can have your child work on Dreambox at home.  This is one of the computer programs we do at school.  This program works on Math skills.  Your child can also do Starfall and listen to stories on BookFLIX.  You can access all of these through the School website under Resources.
