What is the NC Pre-K Program?
The NC Pre-K Program is designed to provide high-quality educational experiences to enhance school readiness for eligible four-year-old children. We are proud to have a pre-k classroom at Irvin. If you are interested in applying for Cabarrus County Pre-K for the 2020-21 school year, please click here.
Is my child eligible?
Children may be eligible for the free NC Pre-K program if they will be four-years-old by August 31st for the 2020-2021 school year, meet income eligibility requirements and reside in Cabarrus County.
How do I apply?
Parents can call the Cabarrus Partnership for Children for an appointment to fill out an application or with questions about the program.

I have been teaching in Cabarrus County for 24 years with the Head Start and NCPreK programs. I received my Bachelor's degree from UNCG, My B-K Teaching License from UNCC and 2 Master's degrees from Ashford.
Teaching is my passion, writing, reading, crafting and photography are my hobbies. I have 2 teenage children (Jada and Branden), a dog, and a cat.
I have been an Irvin Eagle for 7 years and have proudly served the children and families in our community.
I look forward to a wonderful year of play, building relationships with families and students, and learning together as a school family.
