Ms. Wallace

My name is Gwen Wallace. I am from Seaford, Delaware. I graduated from Salisbury University with an Elementary Education Degree. This is my 19th year teaching. I live in Harrisburg.  I have 2 children. My daughter works for the City of Spartanburg and my son is a senior at App State. In my spare time I enjoy going to the beach or lake, working in my yard, and spending time with my pets. I am so excited to be teaching your child this year!

What We Are Learning This Week

  •  
    Reading: In reading this week, students will be able to compare and contrast the adventures and experiences of characters in order to better understand characters

    Letterland: They will be learning about the ow and ou sound.
     
    Review Words: pushing, boot, cook, pool, stood, easy, pulled, funny
     
    Tricky Words:  can't, don't shoes, through, who, head, father, water
     
    New Words: now, out, loud, down, how, found, sound, cow, brown, house
     
    Writing: In writing this week, we wil review how to write a how to book.
     
    Math: This week in math, they will use strategies learned to PUT TOGETHER/ TAKE APART addend unknown word problems and review pennies, nickels, dimes, and quarters, their values, and how their values relate to a penny.

    Science: In science, they will be able to push and pull objects in order to explain how things move and use an unseen force, like magnets, to create pushes and pulls on objects in order to explain how things move.
